> Notes:

18 years have passed since Mark Farina dropped his debut album

`Air Farina' on the seminal west coast imprint OM Records. It's

about time the world enjoyed a new one.

Say hello to `Isolated

Samples', the straight-talking, floor-thumping, bass-bumping house

music album we need and totally deserve after everything we've

been through in the last 15 months. As the title suggests, the

album was willed into existence during the Chicago pioneer's

pandemic-induced time off-road in isolation. Using the studio as

an outlet to focus, find purpose and feed that creative urge, the

result is a no-nonsense collection of eight grooves - seven

club-ready cuts, one interlude - that tangibly emanate Mark's

innate sense of fun and focus.

A personal release right down to

the wry mushroom reference on the cover art, which he photographed

himself, each track is stripped-back to his less-is-more

signature. Strictly the essential ingredients, creating space for

the bulging funk; from those classic house keys and signature

Chi-town bubble on `Know Hey' to the sinewy, mischievous acid on

`Don't Know' via the unabashed rave homage `Milwaukee Ave Loft

Party', this is Farina's love letter to the music and movement

that's inspired him since day one. And a gift to us fans who've

supported him along the way. Isolation over, the world is

definitely ready for this.
