             New Jersey DJ and producer Eric Louis is releasing the exciting 
             and moody EP Waiting in the Rain under his new label, Devilish 
             Affair. The label, recently launched in 2021, releases on vinyl 
             and digital formats and is focused on dance floor ready house 
             and techno infused with dub and minimal sounds. 

             Waiting in the Rain embodies this sound with deep pads, pulsing 
             synths and familiar technoid chirps layered against pumping 
             drums and vocals from the South African singer and songwriter 
             Lokka Vox. The song explores the idea of new beginnings, how we 
             learn to let go and move on, and is reminiscent of seminal 
             vintage cuts like Rui Da Silva's Touch Me and Creamer and K's I 
             Wish You Were Here.

             It's been roughly 20 years since I got into music and nightlife, 
             and I wanted to bring forward the sounds that people were 
             hearing around New York at places like Sound Factory and Danny 
             Tenaglia's Vinyl, says Eric. Having earned his foray into the 
             club scene by assisting and making edits for Jonathan Peters' 
             12+ hour sets at New York's Sound Factory, Eric honed his DJ 
             skills on vinyl, held down a 5-year residency, and has played 
             many events in NYC and beyond. His sound blends elements of 
             techno and house for deep, driving, and hypnotic yet percussive 
             and groovy tracks.

             The release features additional interpretations of Waiting in 
             the Rain with a tribal, drum heavy remix from the veteran 
             producer That Kid Chris and a pitched down, hypnotic dub mix 
             from Eric himself to wrap up the release.
