             An artist with a steadily evolving body of work and ever-growing 
             fanbase, Sebastian Sellares
             continues to chart a path to the upper echelons of the 
             underground dance scene. Now making
             his Proportion debut, he delivers the twin-track Renaissance EP.
             From his home in the foothills of the Sierras Chicas, Sebastian 
             Sellares has witnessed an
             unstoppable rise to prominence. An accomplished guitarist from 
             an early age with a particular
             focus on rock and metal, Sebastian was ultimately drawn to 
             electronic music with a penchant for
             luscious melodies and deep rhythmic grooves. A regular across 
             the clubs of his Crdoba home,
             a production career in tandem quickly shone a light on a 
             complementary set of skills.
             A plethora of high-class releases quickly followed with a 
             century of tracks finding their way onto
             such esteemed imprints as Anjunadeep, Proton Music, GMJ and 
             Matter's Meanwhile and Cid
             Inc.'s Replug, the latter in collaboration with fellow 
             countryman, Ezequiel Arias. Thus, through a
             growing portfolio of original and remix production work, 
             Sebastian has become a sought after
             and in-demand artist.
             Now making a first appearance on Proportion, Sebastian Sellares 
             delivers a twin-track EP of the
             highest calibre. Redolent in rich melodic tapestry and dynamic 
             rhythms that have become a
             staple of his work, Renaissance is a glorious offering that 
             lilts effortlessly via rolling groove and
             ticking hi-hats. A rumbling bassline sequence creates syncopated 
             synergy as expertly placed
             and stereo-panned effects add to the dense atmosphere. Elegant 
             melodies emerge into the
             second movement and breakdown as they tumble and cascade over 
             each other in beautiful
             aural patterns. Hitting its stride once more in the second half, 
             emotive string phrases and
             delicately pulsating synths add even greater depth in a track 
             that finds the Argentinean at the
             height of his production powers.
             Partner track, The Blitz immediately excites with its subtle 
             bouncing bassline energy and
             ticking percussive groove. Immaculately placed synth phrasing 
             provides dancefloor dynamism
             as a sweeping analogue synth line imprints itself on the 
             listener's consciousness. Rising and
             falling with club-friendly ease, a cadenced synth line builds in 
             energy, mirroring the bassline
             beneath before twinkling keys provide a moment of exquisite 
             beauty. As the track drops back
             into its stride once more in the latter stages, bass prowess and 
             melodic majesty combine in
             mesmerising fashion.
             Taking the rebirth of modern progressive house to new heights, 
             Sebastian Sellares is a true
             Renaissance artist.
