Scruniversal have been on an incredible run of form lately and they
keep up the pressure with this new EP from New York native DJ Alone
Again, which packs three slabs of deep, bumpin' garage-y goodness. 'Do
It Right' gets the ball rolling with skippy, stuttered drums and cut-
up vox, 'It's Good' is all sparse, echo-ing organ parps and snatches
of rap vocal, and 'Don't Stop' is a slightly deeper, more melodic jam
with more cut-up vox and, like the other two, plenty of bottom-end
heft. Any/all of the three will make booties move wherever deep house
and proper garage are played - don't sleep.
