             Juno Review
After taking time out to deal with some health
issues, Razor N Tape co-founder J Kriv returns
to action with his first solo EP for the long-
serving label in almost two years. We can
happily report that the sometime Escort member
and Mrogan Geist collaborator has brought the
goods. Check first 'Blueprint', a glorious
fusion of infectious boogie bass, crunchy house
drums, winding acid squiggles, rising piano
stabs and gospel vocal samples, before admiring
             the chugging, dub-flecked, spoken word-sporting
slow deep house excellence of Megatronic collab
'Intuition'. Arguably even better is 'Zone 1',
a wholehearted tribute to David Morales' 'Red
Zone' rubs of the early 1990s, and the tactile
             nu-disco-meets-retro-house warmth of Paula Tape
hook-up 'Paula's Dance'. That is presented in
original; instrumental and extended mix forms,
with our pick being the latter.
