Prolific French artist, Evenn, returns to Piston Recordings with 
the superb two tracker, When The Club Closed. This one follows 
hot on the heels of his remix for Vasily Umanets' Luminous Moon 
and marks his third, full release with us. The name Evenn is 
heavily associated with quality music. He's seen releases on 
Henry Street Music among other labels, and so far, 2020 has been 
a very steady year for him. So much more to come, well worth 
keeping an eye on this guy for the future.

When The Club Closed intros with a pumping kick and shuffling hi 
hat combo, giving the track an instant classic vibe. A powerful, 
low end bassline, rumbles along, holding the groove in check. 
Cool vocals litter the background before the track drops to the 
sound of infectious, smooth chords. Swirling pads add 
atmospherics, combing beautifully with the chords. A definite 
floor mover with an upbeat groove.

Secret Sunday is a wonderfully rich, warming deep house mover. 
Solid beats and a frisky percussion arrangement create a smooth 
rhythmic flow. A lush bass dominates the lower frequencies while 
sweeping chords mesmerize. Distant vocals spice up the groove as 
flowing pads are introduced. A strong groove with a nice 
dancefloor vibe, not to be missed.
