Ingredients
For the pastry:
1 pack phyllo dough (thawed if frozen)
200 250g butter, melted
300g nuts (traditionally walnuts, pistachios, or a mix), finely chopped
1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

For the syrup:
200g sugar
240ml water
1 2 tbsp honey
1 tsp vanilla extract or a strip of lemon peel
1 tbsp lemon juice

Steps:
Layer phyllo + butter (8 10 sheets).
Add nuts, then repeat layers.
Finish with top layers of phyllo.
Cut into shapes.
Bake at 180 C for 45 min.
Boil syrup (sugar + water + honey + lemon).
Pour syrup over hot BAKLAVA. Let cool.
