Detroit's Soiree runs again its usual playbook, spanning four names
over four tracks all in a thickly limited, cosmic house style. All are
bona fide strait-side contributors: Derrick Thompson aka Drivetrain
opens on the gushingly cool 'Feel Me', generous to the point of
philanthropic with its wide-spread deep-it pads and whispery sound
effects. Unconfident swimmers should take heed, as the waters get so
deep from there on that our toes can't touch the floor - DJ Sinjin's
'Things On My Mind' is the sea monster of B-sided choice, with its
core robot voice uttering an oscillatory vocal repetition:
"back and forth..."
