             Our most prolific and celebrated artist - Ritz, returns to 
             Piston Recordings with the superb Weird EP. Ritz continues to 
             deliver the goods for us at Piston. He has amassed an impressive 
             50+ releases with us since 2016, including regular appearances 
             on our compilations. His tracks are consistently reaching the 
             top of many charts, being hailed as weekend weapons by many of 
             his peers. Ritz also runs his own imprint called Left Hook 
             Recordings where he showcases his unique sound. He rarely does 
             DJ sets and when he does, it is on special occasions using only 
             his own music. As always, it's a pleasure having him here.

             Weird opens the release, introing with a smooth, rounded kick 
             drum which is followed by crispy hats and lush chord pads. A 
             deep, groovy bassline joins in, creating a warm atmosphere 
             before pulsing synths and bright leads take us to the next 
             level. A beautifully rich and infectious mover that will not 
             disappoint. Loan is up next, delivering a punchy, drum fuelled 
             groover. Snappy snares, crispy hast and a chunky kick drum get 
             the feet moving as warm chord pads fill the spectrum to the 
             backdrop of a smooth, deep bassline. Analogue keys complete the 
             construction, adding character and depth on this stomper of a 
             track. Dat rounds out the release, dishing out a solid club vibe 
             thanks to some cool vocal shots and an upbeat groove. Tight 
             beats and plush basses are joined by hypnotic synths as 
             mesmerizing strings rise and fall. Wholly infectious and 
             definite floor fodder, no doubt.
