             Spanish DJ, producer Richi Risco debuts on Piston Recordings 
             with the superb, Promises. Recognised as a diverse and creative 
             individual, Richi imprints his passion onto everything he 
             touches. He brings an explosive persona to the stage as a DJ 
             with a deep understanding of music. He has been a main feature 
             at several music festivals for many years and in 2014 he was 
             awarded Best DJ at the Asturian Music Awards. Since 2018 he's 
             been churning out quality releases on several labels as well as 
             securing prestigious gigs, and there's so much more to come from 
             him in the future, great to have him on board.

             Kicking off the release we have the Original Mix which is a 
             driving slice of the deeper echelons of house music. Solid beats 
             and crispy percussions lay the foundation for tough, metallic 
             synths and deep rumbling basses. Cool vocals provide an 
             intriguing narrative throughout while subtle musical elements 
             come through on the break. Trevor Gordon returns to Piston on 
             remix duties after his successful debut here with C.B.S. EP in 
             2021 which was followed with top-notch remixes in early 2022. 
             Here, Trevor dishes out a solid construction which is the 
             epitome of a deep house groove. Nice and chunky beats, sharp 
             hats and rhythmic percussions are joined by plucky analogue 
             basses and delicate, melodic notes. A vocal narrative adds 
             character while various sounds create a classic undertone. 
             Top-notch stuff. Yan Gordo makes a welcome return to PR with a 
             solid remix. We first saw Yan here in early 2022 with his debut 
             slice, Cut'n Slap EP. On the remix here, Yan delivers an 
             infectious minimal deep house groove. Beautifully tweaked 808 
             kicks are joined by a crispy hi hat and sharp clap as a deep, 
             metallic stab fades up to the backdrop of a cool vocal. Rhythmic 
             percussions add that extra touch which seals the groove and 
             locks us in for the duration.
