             We welcome French artist Aevasyon to Piston Recordings with the 
             superb debut release titled Detroit Jazz. Based in Dubai, United 
             Arab Emirates, Aevasyon enjoys international releases on various 
             record labels, where his style is clearly defined by house and 
             deep house music. In 2020 he founded DWRTW Records and he 
             continues spreading underground music across borders. Having 
             started his DJ career in Hong Kong, he continued to please the 
             crowds in his hometown of Toulouse, but now he is focussing on 
             his Dubai residencies. Great to have him here and we hope to 
             hear more soon.

             The Original Mix opens the release, introing with a punchy kick 
             and crispy hat combo. Vibrant, pacey piano chords send the 
             groove into overdrive as a plucky bassline keeps the hips 
             swaying. High strings add flavour alongside delicate notes 
             giving this one a definite dancefloor appeal. BNinjas returns to 
             Piston, this time on remix duties which comes after his last 
             cut, Twice As Much, was very well received. On the remix here, 
             BNinjas disco's up the groove in a distinctly flashy manner. 
             Funky riffs and mesmerizing arpeggios sit on a bed of rhythmic 
             percussions and chunky beats as a deep bassline shores up the 
             low-end. Top-notch and not to be missed. Nzagi is back at Piston 
             with a solid remix, and this one follows his last effort here, 
             Got the Blues, from Spring 2021. The remix here settles into a 
             smooth rhythmic groove right from the off with solid beats and 
             shuffling percussions getting the toes tapping. A warm, well 
             rounded bass seeps up from the depths as infectious chords fade 
             in. Another fine slice of vibrant deep house for the floors that 
             will not disappoint.
