Coming home evokes a feeling of shelter, comfort and ease of mind -
wherever and whatever that home may be. Trying to express these
feelings in a musical sense, the fourth part of Miles Kvndras Live
Jams series Home deals with the topic of homecoming not so much in
finding a physical home, but more in the sense of finding oneself.
Therefore it may be the most personal part of the artists DAWless
series: Entirely composed, arranged and live performed on the Elektron
Digitone & Digitakt, the Moog Mother-32 and the Hologram Microcosm,
Kvndra finds a sweet spot between deep/organic house and
melodic/ambient techno.
The first track "Home" forms the emotional foundation on which the two
other tracks "Haunting" and "Away" are built. Thus the EP combines the
Kvndra-typical melodic arps and deep Moog-like basses with new sounds,
harmonic progressions and samples and paves the way for future musical
projects - a coming home in the truest musical sense of the word.
