More "driving house and techno interpretations" from the mysterious
NAP, a producer (or producers) whose previous shadowy outings have
been packed to the rafters with bombastic peak-time workouts. This
time round, our hero begins with "Donnie", a sumptuous, rolling deep
house number marked out by twinkling piano motifs, loose-limbed
percussion programming, bubbly analogue bass and vocals borrowed from
an R&B/hip-hop favourite, before switching to spacey, up-tempo, Motor
City techno style futurism on 'Running'. 'G-Train' is a surging,
sweat-soaked and pleasingly percussive slab of peak-time techno, while
'Run Towards The Sun' is a deliciously off-kilter fusion of broken
house and early morning texture rich in hard-stepping beats, glassy-
eyed loops and booming bass.
