Some "cosmic tech-house" here, as little-known Leipzig producer Mbius
makes his bow on R.A.N.D Muzik Recordings offshoot Breakfree Records.
He sets his stall out via fantastically spacey, rolling and bass-heavy
opener 'Mr Nimbus'- all shimmering chords, classic tech-house
glitches, deep synth-bass and star-fall electronics - before reaching
for seriously squelchy synth-bass, swinging deep house beats and sun-
splashed chords on the superb 'Cosmic Disco'. 'Mittelaschen Sundowner'
is a gorgeous chunk of warm and tactile tech-house of the sort that
British producers consistently offered up at the turn of the century,
while 'XBD' cannily combines vintage New Jersey deep house sounds with
hypnotic, tech-tinged grooves.
