Slump Recordings launches into 2024 with Baby Rollen's potent 4-track
EP, delivering a punch of tech-driven rollers infused with an
unmistakable 90s authenticity. Brothers Will and Max, known as Duowe,
maintain their stronghold on the club scene, going OG house
soundscapes, take the funk-driven deepness of "Monster Island" for
example. "Bits N Bobs" keeps a subtle hint of disco by drives it
deeper into the techier realm, with some straight up vibraphone vibes
in "Xyloroll". And of course, the B2 (if we were talking vinyl) is
this EP's deepest cut and most explicitly house. Deep.
