We don't know much about TCHDWN, though the artist's music has evolved
considerably over the last few years. The project's earliest releases
were rooted in UK bass, but in recent times they've served up
formidably forthright and peak-time-ready house sounds. So, what's in
store this time? Opener 'Dance Freak' is colourful, summery and life-
affirming, with disco-era vocal samples, fizzing riffs, hands-aloft
piano stabs and elastic synth-bass clustering around a bumpin', 130
BPM house groove. 'Unconditional Love', which rolls along at the same
tempo, is a sweet vocal house number rich in woozy chords, chunky bass
and ear-catching synth stabs.
