Rico Herrara made his Local Talk debut on the Swedish imprint's
excellent 13 Years Later compilation. Here he delivers his first
single for Mad Mats and Tooli's popular and prolific outlet. In its
original form, 'Thank You' is a simply gorgeous slab of sun-splashed
bossa house rich in twinkling pianos, undulating jazz-funk bass, jazzy
synthesiser flourishes and a joyous and picturesque vocal. It sounds
like the kind of track that would genuinely do the business at a
festival such as We Out Here and the many nights around the country
that push a soulful, summery and Latin-tinged house sound. Turbojazz's
accompanying remix is slightly tougher, with more Latin musical
flourishes and a jazz dancer friendly broken house groove. Superb
stuff!
