Having spent the first part of his career serving up good-time grooves
and mind-mangling dancefloor treats as Obas Nenor, Ronen Sabo switched
to the simpler Nenor alias a few years back. Since he's dropped
essential EPs on Quintessentials, Razor N Tape Reserve and - with this
first outing of 2023 - Burnin' Music. It's a delightfully eclectic and
varied affair with Sabio switching between jazzy, dubby and quietly
funky deep house hedonism (the fantastic 'Running Out'), jazz-
sampling, head-nodding dustiness ('Side Effect'), rolling, semi-
organic deep house pleasure (the shuffling, glassy-eyed 'Start It Up')
and sleazy, acid-tinged early morning dancefloor voodoo (the extra-
percussive, pots-and-pans brilliance of 'Green Time').
